My uncle drove up from Austin and my Dad flew out to Oklahoma to move me out of my dorm. We dedicated a week to follow any storms within reasonable distance of Norman. Saw a tornado and nearly died in Kansas as well as several gustnadoes. For an excellent write-up along with pictures, check out . |

We headed for Quanah, and then went north to chase an outflow boundary. Nice couple of storms south of Woodward, OK at sunset. Some rotation, but not enough daylight to sustain. |

Very small warm sector. North storm dropped a good-sized tornado outside Throckmorton, but we played the south storm. Squall line ate our storm up before it could drop anything |

We missed the outbreak. Played the system to far to the north. Got some good views of supercells and saw several funnels. Depressing chase once we got back and saw other people's videos. More Details... |

We were too far north of a storm that dropped several tornadoes after dark in Abilene. Bust. More Details... |

A moderate risk but no supercells ahead of intense squall line. Saw some decent hail and had a lightning strike really close to our convoy. Driving back to Norman resembled driving in a hurricane. Highlight of trip: Dusty opening his window while driving and getting smacked upside the head by a hailstone! More Details... |

Storm formed just south of my home in Fredericksburg. Chased it north through the county until it crossed the Potomac into Maryland. Saw rotation on it, and sure enough, tornadoes were reported across the river. |

Two supercells threatened Norman, with a brief tornado touchdown in Noble. We chased a storm to the south, but was swallowed up by another storm as it tried to drop a tornado. Before we left, we think we saw one from the dorm. More Details... |

Jackpot! Despite Dusty getting a $173 speeding ticket crossing back into Oklahoma from Texas, we got a tornado when Howie Bluestein didn't! Two storms were around the Cordell area, and the northern one dropped a weak one at sunset. Nice orange backlight to it. More Details... |

Chased a pretty storm in Greer County. Only storm that had a tornado warning on it, and we were in the right spot to see one if it dropped. More Details... |

Bust. Cloud cover to thick. Best storms were after dark when we stopped in El Reno for gas with severe winds. Next day the same system dropped 36 tornadoes over the Midwest. Oh well. More Details... |

April 6 will always stand out in our minds. SPC issued a High Risk with a 25% chance of tornadoes. While we didn't see a tornado (one was reported 20 miles to our south), we experienced a 65 mph squall line with intense rain and hail. We were only able to outrun it for about 20 minutes until we were forced stop and let it overtake us. Very cool. More Details... |

My first chase. Only a 2% chance of tornadoes. Storms fired up too far to our south around sunset. Good experience anyways. More Details... |
